1981 - The same year as the first London Marathon, Crombie Anderson Associates Ltd. is established as a product design consultancy.

1983 - John Whyte joins Crombie Anderson to form a graphic design division.

1990 - 1995 - Worked with key clients... Manesty, Dunfermline Building Society, Fortronic.

1992 - Crombie Anderson initiates development of optical laser imaging equipment and establishes new company 'Optos'.

1993 - Crombie Anderson wins Dunfermline Building Society as a key client and redesigned their brand identity.

1995 - Crombie Anderson wins Howden, a client we still work with today.

1998 - Crombie Anderson move from Dunfermline to Commercial Street, Leith.

1995-2000 - Worked for key clients... Howden, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Royal Lyceum Theatre, Optos.

2000 - Crombie Anderson acquires digital design company to broaden it's communications offering.

2000 - Crombie rebrands Howden.

2000-2005 - Worked for key clients... Diageo, Howden, University of Stirling, Scottish Tourist Board, Voxar, East of Scotland Water.

2001 - Crombie Anderson wins University of Stirling, an account we held for 8 years.
Winner of 2006-2007 Heist Award - Excellence in Education Marketing Awards

2002 - We move along the street to 112 Commercial Street, Leith.

2002 - 2005 - Present - Worked for key clients... Howden, Clydebank College, Princes Mall, PPG, Queen Margaret University

2007 - Optos plc. launches on the London stock exchange.

2008 - Durham First wins 'magazine of the year' in the CiB Northern region Awards.
One judge said: "if it's read by 85,000 people it's got to be special - and it is. Each page oozes readability quality. As a PR vehicle alone it is top draw."

2009 - Crombie Anderson renames its brand-led graphics division as Crombie.
